  • 1 tablespoon Aged Balsamic Vinegar Regular balsamic or red wine vinegar are good substitutes.
  • 10 leaves Fresh Basil Use dried basil only as last resort.

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the diced and well-drained tomatoes with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, aged balsamic vinegar, sea salt, and black pepper. Let sit for about 10 minutes.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the sourdough bread into ½-inch thick slices and toast them in the oven for about 10 minutes.
  3. Rub a peeled garlic clove over one side of each warm slice of bread for flavor.
  4. Set your oven to broil. Place slices of mozzarella on top of the garlic side of each toast. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, sea salt, and black pepper. Broil for 2-3 minutes until bubbly and lightly golden.
  5. Remove from the oven, spoon the marinated tomato mixture on top of each slice, and garnish with fresh basil and additional black pepper. Serve immediately.
