- In a medium bowl, combine the diced and well-drained tomatoes with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, aged balsamic vinegar, sea salt, and black pepper. Let sit for about 10 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the sourdough bread into ½-inch thick slices and toast them in the oven for about 10 minutes.
- Rub a peeled garlic clove over one side of each warm slice of bread for flavor.
- Set your oven to broil. Place slices of mozzarella on top of the garlic side of each toast. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, sea salt, and black pepper. Broil for 2-3 minutes until bubbly and lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven, spoon the marinated tomato mixture on top of each slice, and garnish with fresh basil and additional black pepper. Serve immediately.
