  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano can use fresh oregano in larger quantities

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together ¼ cup of olive oil, the juice of one fresh lemon, and 3 cloves of minced garlic. Add 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika, 1 teaspoon of dried oregano, and a pinch of salt and black pepper to taste. Mix well to create the marinade.
  2. Carefully add 1 pound of peeled and deveined shrimp to the marinade and toss gently to coat each piece thoroughly.
  3. Transfer the shrimp and marinade to a Ziplock bag or a shallow dish. Seal it and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes to create an ideal cooking surface.
  5. Remove the shrimp from the marinade, discarding any leftover liquid. Cook the shrimp on the grill or skillet for approximately 2-3 minutes on each side until opaque.
  6. Transfer the cooked shrimp to a serving platter and serve immediately with your choice of side dishes.
