Ingredients

For the Musubi
  • 1 can Spam Provides the main protein and savory flavor; substitute with teriyaki chicken or marinated tofu for variety.
  • 3 tablespoons Soy Sauce Adds a salty and umami depth; use tamari for a gluten-free alternative.
  • 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar Balances the salty soy sauce with sweetness; can be substituted with honey or maple syrup.
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil Gives a nutty aroma; swap with olive oil for a milder flavor profile.
  • 2 cups Sushi Rice Creates the sticky base for the musubi; always prepare according to package instructions for optimal texture.
  • 4 sheets Sushi Nori Wraps the musubi, enclosing all the delicious flavors; can be replaced with other seaweed options if desired.
Optional Toppings
  • 1 whole Avocado Adds creaminess and freshness; perfect for enhancing flavor.
  • 3 tablespoons Spicy Mayo Brings a zingy kick; simply mix mayo with sriracha for a quick dip.
  • 1 cup Pickled Vegetables Introduces tangy crunch; consider pickled ginger or radish for added depth.
