Step-by-Step Instructions for Oreo Banana Bread
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan with non-stick spray or butter.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl until mostly smooth, leaving a few small lumps for texture.
  3. Combine the cooled melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla with the mashed bananas and whisk until smooth.
  4. Gently fold in the flour, baking soda, and kosher salt until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped Oreo cookies until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  7. Mix Oreo crumbs with sugar and sprinkle over the batter, optionally pressing whole Oreos into the surface.
  8. Bake for 55-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
