Preparation Steps
- In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, granulated sugar, and active dry yeast. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- Incorporate pure pumpkin puree and melted butter, stirring well.
- Gradually mix in all-purpose flour until a soft dough forms. Knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let rise in a warm area until doubled (about 1 hour).
- Mix together brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a small bowl.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface and spread softened butter followed by the sugar-spice mixture.
- Roll the dough tightly from one edge to form a log and slice into 12 equal pieces.
- Grease a 9x13 baking dish and arrange the sliced rolls inside. Cover and let them rise until puffy (30-45 minutes).
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake rolls for about 27 minutes or until golden brown.
- Prepare the frosting by browning butter and whisking together with cream cheese and confectioners' sugar until smooth.
- Allow rolls to cool for about 10 minutes and spread frosting over warm rolls.

Notes
For best results, ensure ingredients are at room temperature and do not rush the rising times.
