Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by gathering your ingredients: unsalted butter, icing sugar, all-purpose flour, sea salt, ground Earl Grey tea leaves, and Earl Grey extract. In a food processor, pulse the room temperature butter and icing sugar until smooth. Gradually add flour, salt, tea leaves, and extract, mixing until the dough comes together.
  2. Once your dough is ready, divide it in half for easier handling. Roll each portion into a log about 1 ½ to 2 inches in diameter, ensuring a smooth and even shape. Wrap each log tightly in plastic wrap and place them in the refrigerator to chill for at least 1 hour.
  3. After the dough has chilled, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Once the oven reaches temperature, take the logs out of the refrigerator. Using a sharp knife, slice the logs into ¼ to ½ inch thick pieces.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking. Arrange the sliced cookies on the sheet, leaving at least 1 inch between each to allow for spreading. Place them in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 10 minutes.
