Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Brew a strong cup of Earl Grey tea, steeping for about 5 minutes. Let it cool to room temperature.
  2. In a bowl, combine 1 cup of mascarpone cheese with 1/3 cup of sugar; blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Separate 3 large eggs; whisk the yolks until pale and creamy, then fold into the mascarpone mixture.
  4. Whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form, then gently fold into the mascarpone mixture.
  5. Brew a cup of coffee and dip each ladyfinger briefly into the coffee, soaking but not soggy.
  6. Layer dipped ladyfingers in a 9x9 dish, spread half of the mascarpone mixture on top, and repeat.
  7. Cover the dish and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  8. Before serving, dust with cocoa powder and cut into squares.
