  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl until almost smooth with small lumps.

  4. Incorporate the oats, baking powder, and a pinch of salt into the mixture.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips, reserving some for topping.
  6. Pour the mixture into the loaf pan, smoothing the top and sprinkling reserved chocolate chips over it.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and a knife comes out clean.
