Ingredients
  

For the Donuts
  • 1 cup Milk of choice (almond or oat)
  • 1 tbsp White or cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Oil (or banana, applesauce, or almond butter)
  • 1 tsp Pure vanilla extract can be omitted for a more subtle taste
  • 1 cup Spelt, white, or oat flour or opt for oat flour for a gluten-free twist
  • 1 tbsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 cup Sugar (or xylitol for sugar-free) substitute with a sugar alternative for lower-calorie
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar or sugar-free powdered sugar for topping
For Serving
  • 1 cup Vegan Hot Chocolate a perfect pairing

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease the mini donut pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together milk, vinegar, oil, and vanilla extract until combined.
  3. In a separate large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt; stir well.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix gently until just combined.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.
  6. Bake for 8 minutes until lightly golden and springy to the touch.
  7. Allow donuts to cool for 5 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Roll each donut in powdered sugar or dip them to coat evenly.
