- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a mini donut pan.
- Whisk together milk, vinegar, oil or alternative, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Sift together flour, baking powder, sugar (or xylitol), and salt in a large bowl.
- Combine the wet and dry mixtures, stirring gently until just combined.
- Fill each mold in the donut pan three-quarters full with batter.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the donuts for 5 minutes in the pan before transferring to a cooling rack.
- Roll or sprinkle powdered sugar over the tops of cooled donuts before serving.
