Preparation Steps
- Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan with butter.
- Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat.
- Once melted, add 5 cups of mini marshmallows and stir until fully melted.
- Fold in 6 cups of Rice Krispie cereal until well coated.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and press firmly into an even layer.
- Sprinkle salted peanuts over the top and press gently to adhere.
- Combine 11 ounces of caramels with ¼ cup of heavy cream in a saucepan and heat until smooth.
- Pour the warm caramel over the peanut layer.
- Melt 1 cup of chocolate chips in the microwave and pour over the caramel layer.
- Allow the treats to cool completely at room temperature, then slice into squares.
