  • 5 cups Mini Marshmallows Avoid using regular marshmallows.
  • 6 cups Rice Krispie Cereal Can be substituted with any puffed rice cereal.
For the Toppings
  • 1 cup Salted Peanuts Can be replaced with other nuts or omitted.
  • 11 ounces Caramels Homemade or store-bought.
  • ¼ cup Heavy Cream Light cream can be used for a lighter version.
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips Dark or semi-sweet can be swapped as per preference.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan with butter.
  2. Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat.
  3. Once melted, add 5 cups of mini marshmallows and stir until fully melted.
  4. Fold in 6 cups of Rice Krispie cereal until well coated.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and press firmly into an even layer.
  6. Sprinkle salted peanuts over the top and press gently to adhere.
  7. Combine 11 ounces of caramels with ¼ cup of heavy cream in a saucepan and heat until smooth.
  8. Pour the warm caramel over the peanut layer.
  9. Melt 1 cup of chocolate chips in the microwave and pour over the caramel layer.
  10. Allow the treats to cool completely at room temperature, then slice into squares.
