Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x5 loaf pan.
  2. Mash two very ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl until mostly smooth.
  3. Add ½ cup of natural peanut butter and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the mashed bananas and mix until creamy.
  4. Add 1 cup of instant or quick-cooking oats, ¼ teaspoon of salt, and ½ teaspoon of baking powder, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in ⅓ cup of chocolate chips until well distributed.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top evenly.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until lightly golden and a knife inserted comes out clean.
  8. Cool the bars in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
