For the Bread and Assembly

Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, blend cream cheese, mayonnaise, dill, chives, parsley, lemon juice, and season with salt and pepper until smooth.
  2. Spread salted butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. On the unbuttered side of each slice, spread the herb cream cheese mixture evenly.
  4. Slice the cucumber thinly and layer it over the herb cream cheese on three slices.
  5. Place the remaining three slices on top with the buttered side facing down.
  6. Spread a thin layer of cream cheese on top of each sandwich and arrange extra cucumber slices decoratively.
  7. Trim the crusts and cut each sandwich into desired shapes.
  8. Serve immediately or store covered in the fridge.
