- Shred the pepper jack cheese and combine it in a mixing bowl with finely diced jalapeños until evenly mixed.
- Roll the cheese mixture into balls, about the size of golf balls, ensuring they hold together.
- Chill the shaped cheese balls on a parchment lined baking sheet in the freezer for 30 minutes.
- Set up coating stations with separate shallow bowls for flour, egg and milk mixture, and breadcrumbs.
- Coat each chilled cheese ball in flour, then dip in egg mixture, and roll in breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C). Test with a small piece of bread.
- Fry cheese balls in batches for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from oil using a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
