  • 4 ounces Burrata Handle gently for best results.
  • 1 cup Flour Season with salt and pepper.
  • 2 large Eggs Whisked well before use.
  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs Mix with Parmesan and Italian seasoning.
For the Frying
  • 2 cups Olive Oil Choose high smoke point oil if preferred.
For the Spicy Vodka-Style Sauce
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato Paste Cook down until slightly caramelized.
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Stir in gradually.
  • 1 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes Adjust to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil Fresh can be substituted.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese Grated.
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Add at the end for gloss.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pat the burrata dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  2. Set up your breading station with flour, whisked eggs, and breadcrumb mixture.
Breading
  1. Coat burrata in seasoned flour, then dip in eggs, and finally press into breadcrumb mixture.
  2. For extra crunch, repeat breading and set aside.
Frying
  1. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F.
  2. Fry the breaded burrata for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Use a slotted spoon to turn them gently for even cooking.
Sauce Preparation
  1. In a pan, heat olive oil and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  2. Add tomato paste and cook until it darkens slightly.
  3. Gradually stir in heavy cream, and season with red pepper flakes and dried basil.
  4. Simmer for 3-5 minutes, then add Parmesan and butter.
Serving
  1. Spoon sauce onto a plate, place fried burrata on top, and garnish with fresh basil.
