- Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from the skillet and drain excess grease on a paper towel-lined plate. Crumble the bacon and set aside.
- In the slow cooker, add frozen corn kernels, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, heavy cream, melted butter, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Stir the mixture thoroughly to ensure all ingredients are well combined.
- Cover and set the slow cooker to cook on low for about 4 hours or high for around 2 hours, stirring occasionally during cooking.
- Check the consistency after cooking. If too thick, add a splash of milk. Adjust seasoning as needed.
- Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with freshly chopped parsley or chives before serving.
