  • 2 cups Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese Feel free to try smoked Gouda.
  • 8 oz Cooked Bacon (crumbled) Swap with turkey bacon if preferred.
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Replace with half-and-half for lower fat.
  • 4 tbsp Unsalted Melted Butter Olive oil works as a heart-healthy alternative.
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder Fresh garlic can be a bold substitute.
  • 1 tsp Paprika Smoked paprika can intensify flavors.
  • 1 tsp Salt Adjust according to preference.
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper Adjust according to preference.
For Garnishing
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley (garnish) Chives can also be used.

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from the skillet and drain excess grease on a paper towel-lined plate. Crumble the bacon and set aside.
  2. In the slow cooker, add frozen corn kernels, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, heavy cream, melted butter, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Stir the mixture thoroughly to ensure all ingredients are well combined.
  4. Cover and set the slow cooker to cook on low for about 4 hours or high for around 2 hours, stirring occasionally during cooking.
  5. Check the consistency after cooking. If too thick, add a splash of milk. Adjust seasoning as needed.
  6. Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with freshly chopped parsley or chives before serving.
