Cooking Steps
- Melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter and 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Carefully place 4 wedges of green cabbage flat side down in the hot skillet. Sear for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
- Lower the heat to medium and sauté 1 chopped yellow onion for 5 minutes until soft.
- Stir in 3 minced garlic cloves and 1 teaspoon of Cajun seasoning, cooking for 1 minute.
- Pour in 1 cup of heavy cream, scraping the bottom of the skillet. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
- Reduce heat to low and incorporate ½ cup of Parmesan cheese and 2 tablespoons of parsley until smooth.
- Return the seared cabbage wedges to the sauce and simmer on low for another 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and garnish with additional parsley.
