  1. Begin by cutting your choice of bread into one-inch cubes and lightly butter the outer sides.

  3. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and layer half of the buttered bread cubes at the bottom.
  4. Pour half of the tomato soup mixture over the bread.
  5. Repeat with remaining bread cubes and pour the rest of the tomato soup mixture.
  6. Sprinkle cheese over the top and preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Bake for approximately 30 minutes until cheese is golden brown.
