Ingredients

For the Bites
  • 1 can Jellied Cranberry Sauce Opt for jellied for smoother coating.
  • 1 cup Dark Chocolate Chips Ideal for dipping, can substitute with milk/white chocolate.
  • 1 tablespoon Coconut Oil Optional; ensures chocolate melts smoothly.
For Toppings (optional)
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Nuts Almonds or walnuts pair beautifully.
  • 1/4 cup Festive Sprinkles Add for color and fun.

Equipment

  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • baking sheet
  • parchment paper
  • sharp knife

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by opening the can of jellied cranberry sauce. Using a sharp knife, carefully cut the sauce into approximately ½-inch thick discs.
  2. Once the discs are cut, place the baking sheet in the freezer. Allow the cranberry slices to freeze for at least 30 minutes until they’re firm.
  3. While the cranberry discs are freezing, combine dark chocolate chips with a spoonful of coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 1 minute, then stir well.
  4. Remove the frozen cranberry discs and dip each slice into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip back.
  5. Place the chocolate-coated cranberry bites back onto the baking sheet and freeze for an additional 30 minutes to set.
