Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. If using, sauté diced onion and bell pepper in oil over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes until softened. Remove and let cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder until just combined.
  4. Spread the diced ham in the baking dish, then add half the cheddar cheese. If using, layer in the sautéed vegetables followed by the remaining cheese.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the fillings, level it out, and bake for 25-30 minutes until set and golden brown.
  6. Allow the omelette to rest for 5 minutes, slice, and garnish with chopped herbs before serving.
