  • 2 medium Potatoes Diced
  • 1 large Onion Finely chopped
  • 2 medium Tomatoes Chopped

  • 2 medium Green Chilies Adjust heat level according to preference
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chili Powder Adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala Best added at the end
For Garnish
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro Freshly chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice To taste
For Cooking
  • 2 tablespoon Oil For sautéing
  • 1 cup Water

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat until shimmering. Add the cumin seeds and wait for them to splutter.
  2. Sauté the finely chopped onion for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook for 5-7 minutes until softened.
  5. Mix in turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt, cooking for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Brown the minced meat, cooking for 7-8 minutes until it changes color.
  7. Incorporate the diced potatoes, stirring well and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  8. Pour in the water, cover the pan, and let it simmer for 20-25 minutes.
  9. Once potatoes are tender, sprinkle garam masala over the dish and stir.
  10. Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro and lemon juice. Serve with naan or basmati rice.
